My Go-To Dessert To Bring: Oreo Balls

A friend of mine introduced me to Oreo Balls in high school. I was hooked. They were so easy to make and legit probably my FAVORITE dessert. I’d bring them to Christmas as my dessert to share. So I’m going to share with you the recipe so you can make them and drool over them like I do. I’m making these to give to Sawyer’s teachers and the girls I work with as well.

Recipe

1 Package of Oreos
1 Package of soften cream cheese
1 Package of Almond Bark
Toothpicks
Parchment Paper

Directions

First, you’re going to want to make space in your freezer for a cookie sheet with Oreo balls on it. Take the package of Oreos and put it in a food processor. Or put them in a ziplock bag and crush them up as much as you can. That’s what I used to do until I realized a food processor was MUCH faster and less work. Then mix your softened cream cheese in with the crushed Oreos. I used a Kitchenaid Mixer but I used to mix it by hand in a big bowl. Once the Oreos and cream cheese is mixed well, roll the mixer into about 1in sized balls and put them on a cookie sheet covered in parchment paper. After you filled your cookie sheet with Oreo balls, put a toothpick in each Oreo ball. Put your filled cookie sheet in the freezer for about an hour.

After the hour, put your almond bark a couple cubes at a time in a microwave safe bowl for 2 minutes. Stir, then put back in in 30 second increments until it’s fully melted. Take your Oreo balls and dip them in the almond bark and either put back on parchment covered cookie sheet to dry or put down a piece of parchment paper on the counter and put it on that. Once you’ve dipped all of your Oreo balls in the melted almond bark and set them to dry, you can start taking the toothpicks out of the set ones AND you’re done! Enjoy!
